I have attended the Miami Open a number of times in recent years, and it is a very fine event. However, the venue needs significant improvements, especially more seating on the side or field courts. The stadium is one of the best on the tour.

An all around great place to have a picnic out with the family.

What a fantastic place to bring kids! The gentle beach drop-off means that the ocean is great for smaller kids with very little waves. There is ample space for picnics and grilling and loads of parking.

Please note that there is a no glass bottles policy which is enforced by the parks management - although they were really friendly and polite when they noticed our glass bottle of olive oil.

Lots to do here. Nice beach. Walking trails. Park. Plenty of parking.

Ever since I was young I would visit this beautiful oceanfront park, and still to this day I'm captivated by it's beauty. Upon entering, you'll find a spacious parking lot (a rarity in this city!), then you'll walk past plenty of open-air gazebos and picnic tables where locals and tourists alike are enjoying themselves. The beachfront is among the cleanest and most pristine in all of Miami, with the beach regularly cleaned by park employees. There's plenty of restrooms (renovated only a few years ago, they're quite modern and clean). In addition to the beach, there's a track for running/biking/walking, plenty of "boardwalk" area to walk along the beach, and an old "abandoned" zoo where one can walk around and observe old structures that are still standing (they're planning to build a petting zoo in the near future) and the plethora of wildlife that roam the park (iguanas, squirrels, various birds including cranes and peacocks, and plenty of little critters). I definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Miami, and it's excellent for families and kids.

Ran through the park today on my 18-mile running route from the Key Biscayne toll to Bill Braggs State Park. It's a little unkempt in places the way Miami is as a whole (people litter--it's gross), but other than that, this is a beautiful park. And peacocks! They just hang out near the beach.
